Cadence Coach Privacy Policy

Effective date: [DATE OF PUBLICATION] · Applies to the Cadence Coach app for Android published on Google Play.

In short
  • Cadence Coach has no internet access. It cannot send your data anywhere, and we receive nothing from it.
  • Rides are recorded and stored only on your phone.
  • No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no location, no microphone.
  • Uninstalling the app deletes everything it recorded.

Who we are

Cadence Coach is developed by Alexey Egorenko, publishing as Suncokret Labs, Novi Sad, Serbia (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question, contact support@suncokretlabs.com.

What the app records on your device

When you start a ride, Cadence Coach records the following and saves it in the app’s private storage on your phone:

DataWhy
Accelerometer and gyroscope readings with their timestamps To estimate your pedalling cadence and to keep a faithful record of the ride.
Ride settings: target cadence, metronome settings, where you carry the phone (e.g. pocket), ride start time To coach you and to interpret the sensor data correctly.
Technical details: app version, phone manufacturer and model, Android version, motion sensor specifications, battery-saver and screen state To diagnose recording problems that depend on the phone model or power settings.
App event and diagnostic logs (e.g. when recording or the metronome started and stopped) To recover an interrupted ride and to troubleshoot problems.
Your app settings To remember your preferences.

This data does not include your name, email address, contacts, location, photos or audio. The app does not create an account and does not use advertising identifiers.

What the app does not do

Permissions

Voice cues

Spoken cues are fixed phrases (for example, a target cadence) generated by your phone’s own text-to-speech engine. The app does not send anything else to that engine. The engine is provided by your phone’s maker or Google and is covered by its own privacy terms.

Storage, retention and deletion

Google Play

You install Cadence Coach through Google Play. Google processes information about installs and purchases under its own privacy policy. If you have opted in to sharing usage and diagnostics with app developers in your Android settings, Google may give us aggregated statistics and crash reports, which do not include your ride data.

Children

Cadence Coach is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Your rights

Because the app keeps your data only on your phone, you have full control of it and can delete it at any time as described above. We don’t hold personal data about you from the app. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and delete them when they are no longer needed. You can ask us about, correct or delete that correspondence at any time. If you are in the EU, the UK or Serbia, you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Future features

We may later add optional features, such as connecting a Bluetooth cadence sensor or voluntarily contributing ride data to research. Any feature that sends data off your phone will be off by default, will ask for your explicit consent first, and will be described in an updated version of this policy before it is released.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app’s release notes.
